Workshop to help parents support their children's further learning

29/11/2012

A WORKSHOP is being held for parents and carers of children aged between 13 and 19 years old to provide information, advice and guidance to help them with their child's transition from school to further learning.

The first workshop on 'Options at 16+' will be held on Wednesday 12 December from 6.15pm until 7.45pm at the Connexions Centre on Charles Street.

Careers guidance experts at Connexions Leicester City, which is now part of Leicester City Council, will talk with parents and carers about how they can support their children with the options that are available after school or college. Further workshops will also be available in the New Year covering apprenticeships and higher education.

The cost to attend the workshop is £10 and payment is by cash or cheque on the night.

Booking by Friday 7 December is important to secure a place.

All attendees will receive free refreshments and an information pack.
