LEICESTER’S Abbey Pumping Station is hosting two family-friendly events in the coming weeks.
This weekend, the museum will go back to the 1970s for a special Vintage Festival, with craft stalls, vintage vehicles, live music and refreshments. The museum’s historic beam engines will be in steam and the narrow gauge railway will be offering rides.
Leicester’s Vintage Festival runs from 1pm – 5pm on Saturday (25 June) and from 12 noon – 5pm on Sunday (26 June). Admission is £3.50 for adults, with no charge for accompanied children.
A small charge will be made for train rides.
The following Saturday (2 July), Abbey Pumping Station will host its Railway Gala Day. Admission is free of charge, but there will be a small charge for rides on the narrow gauge railway.
Railway Gala Day runs from 11am until 4.30pm on 2 July.
