Deadline approaches for online early tickets for Bonfire Night

Published on Friday, October 28, 2016

THE deadline is fast approaching for people wanting to purchase early bird tickets online for this year’s Bonfire Night celebrations at Abbey Park.

Advance tickets for the Abbey Park Bonfire and Firework Display are on sale online until Tuesday, November 1, and offer a significant discount to the full price tickets available on the night.

The deadline only applies to online purchases. Advance tickets can still be bought from Visit Leicester and De Montfort Hall’s box office up until the day of the event.

This year’s celebrations at Abbey Park take place on Saturday, November 5, to coincide with the actual traditional date of Bonfire Night.

The event is the city’s biggest and best-attended Bonfire Night event, featuring a programme of live entertainment and music, a fire show, a special children’s quiet firework show, and a funfair.

Gates open at 5pm, with the onstage entertainment beginning at 5.45pm. The children’s firework display takes place at 6.45pm, followed by the Flame Oz fire show at 7.20pm.

Finally, the stunning main firework show starts at 8pm.

Advance tickets cost just £5 for adults, £3.50 for concessions and £14 for a family of four (two adults and two children).

Tickets bought on the gate cost £7 for adults and £5 for concessions, with no family tickets available on the night.

Children under five go free but will need a wristband which is obtained when adults buy a ticket.
