Published on Thursday, September 15, 2016

AN ARRAY of organic produce will be on the menu at the annual Belgrave Hall Good Food Fair this weekend.

The historical hall and beautiful walled gardens will host the event on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th of September, from 11am until 5pm.

The fair brings together the very best local and regional produce for visitors to sample and buy.

Among the produce on offer will be organic preserves, oils, coffee and artisan gelato, along with the very best organically-produced meat, fruit, herbs and vegetables.

Sweet-toothed visitors can sample home-made confectionery, fudge and cakes.

Local real ale and cider will also be on offer.

Leicester assistant city mayor for heritage, leisure and sport, Cllr Piara Singh Clair, said: "Leicester and Leicestershire produce an enormous variety of wholesome, colourful produce, which is among the region's best, so there really will be something for all tastes at the Good Food Fair.

"This event, in the idyllic surroundings of Belgrave Hall and Gardens, is the perfect way for people to find out more about local producers, sample what is on offer and take home a treat or two."

Admission is £2.50 for adults and free for children.

Free parking will be available at Jelson's on Loughborough Road, a five-minute walk from Belgrave Hall.
