Published on Tuesday, April 4, 2017
ABBEY Pumping Station Museum will be opening its doors over the Easter holidays with a pair of family-themed events.
Visitors will be able to mix food and fun for ‘Edible Engineering’ on Tuesday, April 18, from 11am to 3pm.
They will be able to make vegetable engines, to cook at home as soup, or try their hands at engineering by creating spaghetti and marshmallow bridges.
Trails and train rides will also complete the programme of events.
Admission to the museum is free, with activities costing £2.50 and a small charge for train rides.
Emergency services will be taking centre stage on Saturday, April 29, when Abbey Pumping Station Museum hosts its Blue Lights Day.
The event, which runs from 11am to 4pm, will give visitors the chance to explore police cars, ambulances and fire engines both old and new, as well as riding the museum’s railway.
