Easter fun at Belgrave Hall and Gardens

BELGRAVE Hall & Gardens will be hosting some fun, family events over the schools’ Easter break, as the historic venue’s annual programme of events get underway.

An Easter Animal Day will take place on Wednesday 12 April, from 11am until 4pm.

It will feature craft activities, an Easter trail and some special animal visitors to meet. Admission is free, with a £3 charge for crafts.

There will be a chance to Meet the Birds of Prey in the gardens on Saturday, 15 April, from 11am-4pm. Kinder Falconry will be on hand to explain the characteristics of different birds, and there will be a chance to have photo taken with a falcon for a donation.

And Belgrave Hall will be celebrating St George’s Day with an afternoon of storytelling, jousting, dragons and wimples in the gardens on Wednesday 19 April. Admission is free, with a charge for some activites.  

Cllr Piara Singh Clair, assistant city mayor responsible for culture, heritage, leisure and sport, said: “The schools’ Easter holiday is the perfect time to launch the exciting spring and summer events programme at Belgrave Hall and Gardens.

“The programme of activities at the Hall over the coming months will feature lots more family fun as well as live music, historical talks and the popular annual food fair.

“I’m sure lots of people will take the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful historic setting of Belgrave Hall and Gardens.”

Belgrave Hall’s gardens will be open from 11am until 4.30pm every Wednesday and for the first full weekend of each month, until September.
