YOUNGSTERS with creative flair are being invited to take part in Leicester Market’s annual Easter Bonnet competition.
The competition, which takes place on Saturday 31 March, has some great prizes, with six brand new bikes on offer for lucky winners who impress the judging panel with their bonnet-making skills.
The judging panel will include councillors Dawn Alfonso and Paul Westley, as well as local police community support officer Jane Elton.
There are two age group categories for the competition – six and under, and seven to 12. Three winners in each category will receive a bike.
Children who want to take part should make their bonnets at home and then register online at www.leicestermarket.co.uk
Finished bonnets should then be brought to Leicester Market, in front of the Corn Exchange, by 12pm on Saturday 31 March.
Children will have the chance to show off their creations during a traditional parade, which gets under way from 12.30pm.
