PEOPLE can step back in time at a Victorian-themed family fun day on Victoria Park this weekend.
The ‘Raucous Races’ event returns for its third year on Sunday, 23 September.
Inspired by Victoria Park’s use as a racecourse in the 1800s, the event will feature a variety of performances and activities led by a cast of costumed characters from local theatre collective Enter Edem.
Visitors can enjoy tea in fine china in the pop-up Victorian tea room, listen to a live music, enjoy some giant board games, or have their photo taken in the Victorian photo booth.
There’ll be live magic, face painting and other fun and game of offer and children can also have a go on the ‘horseyhopper’ obstacle race.
The free event runs from 12noon-4pm, close to the War Memorial, and admission is free.
