Reminder of county council works on Soar Valley Way

DRIVERS are being reminded of likely traffic disruption and delays while work is carried out on replacing damaged bridge parapets on part of Soar Valley Way from this weekend.
Leicestershire County Council is carrying out the repairs on the A563 between Fosse Park and the junction to Lutterworth Road, to remove and replace damaged safety fences on the busy route, which will take an estimated two weeks.
Soar Valley Way will be closed in both directions overnight on Saturday, July 13, and again on Friday, July 26. A further overnight closure may be needed on Sunday, July 14.
To enable these repairs, Soar Valley Way will be closed in both directions for two nights on Saturday, 13 July, and again on Friday, 26 July, 2019. A further overnight closure may take place on Sunday, 14 July, in the event of any unforeseen delays.
The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, with signed diversion routes in place.
At all other times the road will be open to one lane of traffic in both directions with a speed restriction of 30mph in place. Repairs are expected to be completed by 29 July, 2019, subject to weather conditions.
During the closure the proposed alternative diversion route will be via:-
B4114 Narborough Road South, B5460 Narborough Road South Enderby, B5460 Narborough Road, A47 St Augustine Road, Peacock Lane, Southgates, A594 Oxford Street, Infirmary Road,A426 Aylestone Road, A426 Lutterworth Road and vice versa.
