Make the most of Summer in the City!

summer in the city

THERE'S lots going on in Leicester this month – and with many events free of charge or low-cost, families with young children will be able to get out and about this summer without worrying about the cost.

The city council's Summer in the City programme runs throughout August and includes family-friendly activities such as roller-skating on Jubilee Square and lunchtime Zumba sessions on Wednesdays.

The popular Ride Leicester festival is also under way, with lots of free events designed to get people on their bikes – and don't miss Brew Beat, which will bring live music, DJs and more than 100 beers to Green Dragon Square this Bank Holiday weekend!

Summer in the City's grand finale will also take place this weekend (28-29 August), with music, street art and lots of free entertainment bringing the city centre to life.
