A STRETCH of Leicester’s busy Melton Road will be closed for a few days this half term break to enable essential maintenance work to take place.
The work will be carried out on part of Melton Road, between Troon Way and Lanesborough Road from Sunday (13 Feb) and will involve rrepairs to the road surface, work to strengthen existing gullies and improvements to existing crossings.
The work will involve two overnight road closures on the inbound carriageway from 7pm on Sunday (13 Feb) and Monday (14 Feb). Clearly signed diversions will be in place.
Off peak lane restrictions will also be in place in both directions during the daytime until Saturday 18 February.
The work is being carried out during the school holidays, when there is less traffic, to help minimise disruption.
