TODAY (16 April) is National Offer Day when children up and down the country learn which primary school they will attend from the 2024/25 academic year.

OVER 3,800 children across Leicester will be offered a place at a primary school today, with 96.6% of on time applicants  gaining a place at their first preference.

Most (99%) of the 3,882 children who applied this year gained a place at one of their preferred schools.

Online applicants – who made up 90% of all applications - will be able to log on to the website and see their offers from midnight on national offer day, 16 April 2024. Emails will also be sent out on offer day, with letters posted out to the home addresses of all applicants within two to three days.

Families are strongly encouraged to use up to four preferences when applying for school, as the main reason families were not offered a place at one of their preferred schools was because they made one preference only.
