LEICESTER’S Abbey Park is to once again host Leicester's biggest bonfire night celebration, with this year’s event taking place on Saturday 1 November.
Visitors can look forward to two spectacular firework displays, with the first, quieter display taking place at 6.45pm, and the second launching into the sky at 8pm.
The annual display is organised by the city council’s festivals and events team. Kellie Bugby, festivals and events officer said: “As this year’s event follows hot on the heels of Halloween we have given it a spooks and sparks theme, with fire and flame acts, ghostly walkabouts, creepy creatures and Halloween characters featuring, as well as the best firework displays in the city!”
Live music and entertainment will run throughout the night until 9pm, and a family-friendly fun fair, hot food stalls and licensed bars will also be on offer.
Early bird tickets are on sale now, starting at £28 for a family or group of four, with free entry for children under four years-old. Ticket prices will go up on the day.
Tickets can only be purchased in advance and will not be for sale on the night. They can be purchased online here.
Tickets can also be purchased in person from the box office at De Montfort Hall, Granville Road.
